Melt Bolt and Nozzle Temperature Sensors

Melt Bolt assemblies are designed to allow the temperature sensor to be inserted into the melt stream on molding or extruding machines to get the most accurate measurement of the product temperature. The smaller threads of the nozzle assemblies allow the sensor to be mounted onto the molding machines nozzle to measure the temperature of the plastic as it exits. All three types of temperature sensors can be used inside the melt bolt and nozzle assemblies, RTD's, Thermistors and Thermocouples.

Energy Management Sensors

Temperature sensors for Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (H.V.A.C.) or energy management can require the use of thermowell, Duct, Pipe clamp, Outside, Room thermostat or surface mounting to measure a wide variety of temperatures. Thermowells are used to protect the temperature sensors from high pressures, chemicals, gases or to allow the replacement of the sensor without disturbing the process it is installed in. Long bendable sensors with the temperature sensitive area over the entire length can be used to mount in a grid pattern inside a heating duct to obtain an average temperature of the air passing through. Long straight probes can be used in ovens, ducts, liquids or on surfaces to achieve single point or average temperature measurements. Pipe surface temperature measurements can be made using the pipe clamp mounting system on a wide range of pipe sizes.

The type of temperature sensors that can be used inside these mounting systems can be Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTD's), Thermistors and Thermocouples. This variety of sensor types gives the ability to measure temperature with very high accuracy to lower accuracy and allows for a wide range of sensor costs.
